Munemiya Muni “Are you really that afraid… of this school of magic?” A young man named Arc, pale and dizzy from motion sickness, wanders through the royal capital. Today is the entrance exam for the Magic Academy. In a world where one’s power is defined by their magical school (style), Arc—who belongs to no school at all—nevertheless remains determined to pass. While nearly throwing up in front of a food stall, he’s encouraged by the kindly shopkeeper he just met. But just as he’s about to continue to the exam hall— he witnesses a shocking scene: a fellow applicant, completely charred and collapsed on the ground. The exam’s task is simple: defeat the other applicants. The match seems decided—yet Arc’s opponent launches a relentless follow-up attack. As the burned student screams, townspeople flee, and even the shopkeeper gives up, Arc raises his magic and steps into battle. His enemy hails from one of the strongest schools in the world, while Arc has none. Naturally, he’s overwhelmed— but at the very brink of defeat, three teachings echo in his mind, heralding the beginning of a brand-new story.
